Meinrad Spenger has served as EVP and CEO of MasOrange since March 2024 and joined the Orange Group Executive Committee on 8 June 2026 following Orange’s acquisition of MasOrange. Prior to the creation of MasOrange, he served as CEO of MASMOVIL which he co-founded in 2006.
Born in Austria, Meinrad Spenger began his career as a consultant at McKinsey & Company in Vienna, where he worked on strategy, organization, and operational excellence projects across the telecommunications, industrial, and logistics sectors. He then joined the European Competitive Telecommunications Association (ECTA). In 2006, he co-founded MASMOVIL, initially as a mobile virtual network operator in Spain, which became listed on the Spanish Junior Market (BME Growth) in 2014, and on the Spanish main Market (IBEX) in 2017. He led the company through a period of significant growth until it was privatized in 2020 through a friendly takeover bid lead by KKR, Cinven and Providence.
In March 2024, MASMOVIL merged with Orange Spain to form MasOrange, Spain's leading telecom operator in terms of client volume and satisfaction, and Orange Group’s second-largest market.
Meinrad Spenger holds a law degree from the University of Graz, Austria, and an MBA from IE Business School, Spain.
