How our investments help create sustainable value

Orange Digital Investment holds Orange’s €350 million contribution to the internal Orange Ventures fund and has committed an additional amount of over €400 million in funds managed by external management companies.

These 20 or so external funds mainly focus on technology-related investments but also cover the environment and nature, in line with the Group’s purpose.

Over the 15 years to 2021, nearly 500 companies have been directly or indirectly financed by Orange.

Funds managed by external management companies

  • "Legacy" funds

Our « legacy » funds are those managed by a management company in which Orange has or has had an active role in their governance or capital. Most of these funds are managed by Iris Capital, with which Orange and Publicis launched the Orange Publicis Ventures fund in 2012. Since then, Orange Digital Investment has been involved in the OPV Global, OPV Early Stage, OPV Growth, Iris Next and the new Iris Venture IV funds. Orange is also an investor in funds managed by Innovacom, which was created within the Group in 1988.

  • "Strategic" funds

These funds have received €100 million from Orange Digital Investment and help the Group develop privileged relationships within certain ecosystems. These funds include LAC 1 de Bpifrance as well as  within the RAISE ecosystem.

  • "Themed" funds

Orange Digital Investment has also committed more than €100 million on behalf of our various Business Units to support their operational and strategic development.
