• In line with Orange Group's strategic plan “Trust the Future”, which places trust at the heart of its promise, Orange Business is launching Live Collaboration, a sovereign suite of collaboration tools hosted on Cloud Avenue SecNum

  • Commercially available from March 2026 in France, Live Collaboration enables companies and public organizations to increase their technological independence, retain control of their sensitive data and rein in the costs of collaboration tools

With a unified experience, Live Collaboration brings together a wide range of professional collaboration tools: email, calendars and directories, collaborative workspaces, co-editing of documents, videoconferencing, telephony, intranet, as well as enterprise integration functions, such as Single Sign On, directory and calendar synchronization, Outlook compatibility and interconnections with other communication tools. The overall suite of tools is available under a single contractual model and operated end-to-end by Orange Business, which is responsible for its performance, security and operations.

A sovereign response to rising costs, lock-in and new digital vulnerabilities

Some companies and public organizations find themselves highly dependent on only one cloud collaboration vendor. This can translate into unbalanced negotiation leverage at contract renewal and difficulties catering to the needs of the workforce with special roles (e.g.: dealing with highly sensitive data or involved in business continuity contingencies). Live Collaboration offers a sovereign, controlled solution to mitigate this dependency. In a market that is highly concentrated around major software vendors, the solution helps limit the risks of technological lock-in and dependence on a single provider, particularly relevant when technical and pricing conditions can change unilaterally.

Live Collaboration makes it possible to regain control over costs, strengthen business continuity plans and reduce exposure to geopolitical tensions and disruptions in the digital supply chain. By introducing a sovereign alternative into their collaboration landscape, organizations also strengthen their bargaining power with major international providers.

Hosted in France on Cloud Avenue SecNum, which is SecNumCloud-qualified and operated in Orange Business' data center in Grenoble, France, the suite of tools is based on a 100% European software chain (predominantly French). All components – email, videoconferencing, co‑editing, telephony and intranet – are provided by European vendors and integrated by Orange Business within a single platform. Collaborative data remains protected under French law and shielded from extraterritorial legislation, meeting the data security requirements of the most sensitive organizations.

The best of innovation and scale

Key technology partners integrated for the launch of Live Collaboration include eXo Platform (digital workplace and collaborative portal), BlueMind (email), Pexip (videoconferencing), Mailinblack (email protection, anti‑spam and anti‑virus), Linphone (telephony), and OnlyOffice (office suite and co‑editing). Most of these partners work with open-source models, which make the solution even more resilient in case of digital supply chain disruption.

By making these components fully interoperable within a single experience, Orange Business ensures functional consistency by providing a single support point and a single point of contact. This groundbreaking setup allows customers to benefit from the best of innovation while relying on an industrial digital partner.

Progressive and supported adoption

Live Collaboration is designed to adapt to organizations' digital strategies. The suite of tools can be deployed in a modular way, for all or part of the workforce, depending on the sensitivity level of the data or business continuity needs. It can coexist with other collaboration suites already in place and be introduced gradually for the most critical user groups, creating real leverage in negotiations with major collaboration solution providers when contracts are renewed.

Orange Business draws on its experience in telephony, collaboration and multi‑vendor solution integration to simplify migrations and automate the most common use cases. The modern, simplicity‑focused interface facilitates adoption; change management is anticipated and supported to ensure a positive experience for users, while maximizing the effective use of relevant collaboration features to address workers' needs.

With Live Collaboration, we are offering a sovereign and competitive solution to the major global collaboration ecosystems. In a context of rising prices, market concentration and risks of technological lock‑in, our ambition is to give companies control over their data, their costs and their architectural choices, while providing their teams with a modern experience that is effective and easy to adopt,” says Wassila Zitoune-Dumontet, CEO, Orange Business France.

The trusted collaboration market is booming. The potential is enormous and the challenge for Europe fundamental. We are delighted to be partnering with Orange Business to integrate into Live Collaboration, a complete cloud collaboration solution. With Orange Business and other technology partners, we each bring the best of what we have to offer: together, we really make a difference,” say Veronika Mazour, eXo Platform CEO and Pierre Baudracco, BlueMind CEO.
