In the skateboarding world, there are legendary figures who have conquered the sport, and there are those who, against all the odds, are blazing their own trail.
Such is the case of Boipelo Awuah, a 17-year-old skateboarding prodigy from Kimberley in South Africa. Known as Africa's top-ranked skateboarder, Boipelo has become both a champion of the sport and a role model for countless young skateboarders. Board in hand since the age of 5, Boipelo intends to demonstrate all her talent and technique in this new discipline at the Olympic Games.
Nicolas Pieter Du Preez

Born in 1980, Nicolas Pieter du Preez is a South African paratriathlon athlete. Nicknamed "Supa Piet", he was the first quadriplegic triathlete to complete an Ironman. Pieter du Preez became quadriplegic due to a cycling accident in 2003. Despite the challenges he faced, he took up paratriathlon and gained international recognition for his achievements in the discipline. He was the first quadriplegic to win silver at the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio and gold at the 2020 Summer Paralympic Games in Tokyo in the time trial. Between 2014 and 2022, he collected thirteen gold medals, including five at the Para-cycling Road World Championships.
