Chief Technology and Innovation Officer for the Group
Michaël Trabbia is a graduate of École Polytechnique and Télécom ParisTech, and holds a Master’s of Advanced Studies in Industrial Economics.
In 2004, he was appointed Technical Advisor to the cabinet of the Minister for European Affairs, before joining the cabinet of the Minister for Regional Development as Advisor for “ICT and Europe” in 2005. Then, in 2007, he joined TDF (a French network and infrastructure operator) as Head of Strategy and Development.
In July 2009, he was appointed Deputy Chief of Staff to the Minister for Industry and Head of “Industrial Sectors Policy” before joining Orange in January 2011 as the Group’s SVP for Corporate Public Affairs. He then became Chief of Staff for the Chairman and CEO of Orange, and Secretary of the Group’s Executive Committee in July 2014. From 2016 to 2020, he served as CEO of Orange Belgium.
On 1 September 2020, Michaël Trabbia joined the Executive Committee as Chief Technology and Innovation Officer for the Group, overseeing Orange Innovation division, with the chief ambition of strengthening data and AI at the heart of Orange innovation. Since September 2022, he has taken over the management of Orange Wholesale & International Networks on an interim basis, in addition to his current position.
