Banlieuz'Art is a Guinean group created in 2004, under the impetus of two young artists from the suburbs of Conakry: Abdoul Aziz Bangoura, known as "Konko Malela" and Souleymane Sow, known as "King Salomon". Blending reggae, ragga, rap, soul and Mandingo influences, their music is a reflection of themselves, a seamless mix of contrasts.

 

Hakim Bah

Hakim Bah is a Guinean poet, playwright and author of short stories. He studied directing and dramaturgy at the University of Paris-Ouest Nanterre. In parallel, he participated in writing residencies in Burkina Faso, Guinea, France and Morocco. He has received numerous awards in France and Africa for his work.

Pokémon Gnakry is a hip-hop dance group, created in 2006 by dancer Djoumii in the upper suburbs of Conakry. The group has won several competitions and distinguished itself during the 2017 edition of the show "Africa has Amazing Talent".

 

Soul Bang’s

"Through songs you can help people, through songs you can bring people together.”

Souleymane Bangoura a.k.a Soul Bang's, is a young Guinean music prodigy, winner of the Découvertes-RFI prize in 2016. For his fourth album, recorded with traditional instruments, the "Boss of R'n'B" leaves behind his native repertoire and concentrates on Africa, blending modern Mandingo music and Afro-pop.
