Inclusion isn’t complicated but it is essential

Did you know that 80% of disabilities are invisible? At Orange, we know that creating a truly inclusive workplace starts with opening our eyes.

That’s why we’ve signed on to global initiatives that are moving the needle: the ILO’s Global Business and Disability Network Charter since 2015, and The Valuable 500 since 2019. Our Neuroteam program, launched in 2022, goes even further by opening doors to neurodivergent talent. Because in a world that thrives on innovation, these unique perspectives are not just welcome but essential.

Quick facts

At Orange, skills are what count

We believe diversity and inclusion fuel performance, creativity, and engagement. That’s why we champion the acceptance of every form of difference and the recognition of multiple identities, while rejecting all forms of discrimination. At Orange, what matters is talent, potential, and skills above all else. And we back that up with action. From recruitment and onboarding to career development, our teams go the extra mile to support employees with disabilities so they can grow and thrive within our community.

How we hire: diversity by design

We see diversity as a strength and a driver of innovation. That’s why we’re reshaping our recruitment processes to make them truly accessible to candidates with disabilities and give every talent the chance to shine.

Breaking stereotypes everywhere we operate

From Poland to Senegal, and Egypt to France, we regularly train teams to break down stereotypes about disability at work. Immersive workshops, personal stories, real-life simulations: we use every tool to open eyes and minds. Our goal: to make sure everyone truly understands what disability is, beyond the clichés. Because inclusion is everyone’s responsibility.

Welcome, inclusion, support: the winning trio

Once you join us, you’re not on your own. We make sure your workplace, tools, and resources are adapted to your needs. From adjustable desks to voice recognition software and accessible screens, we find solutions for every situation, including invisible disabilities like dys disorders or neurodivergence. The result? Teams where everyone can be 100% themselves, and 100% effective. Our secret: a company culture where inclusion is non-negotiable, boosting engagement, well-being, and loyalty.

Tech that powers potential

What makes us most proud? When technology tears down barriers instead of building new ones.

Comfort+, the small change that makes a big difference

Our Comfort+ is changing the game by not only making our websites easier to navigate but transforming the entire digital experience to make it truly accessible to everyone.

Shops where everyone is a VIP

Our “autonomy” stores are designed so every customer feels at ease. Hearing loops, tactile floor paths, Braille signage, staff trained in sign language — every detail is thought through.

And it’s not just talk: in 2023 we doubled the number of our certified “autonomy” stores in France, and our goal is 100%.

Inclusion across our value chain

We’ve flipped the script. Instead of designing products first and adapting them later, we start with the needs of people with disabilities and build solutions that work for everyone. Our inclusive innovation team is like a living lab where researchers, designers, and accessibility experts co-create with the people directly concerned. After all, who better to tell us what works than those who use it? That’s why we’ve partnered with Handilab, France’s first innovation hub dedicated to disability and autonomy, in the Paris region.

At the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, we showed what tech can do when it truly serves inclusion. And the best part? These innovations won’t fade with the Olympic flame. We’re already rolling them out in stadiums, museums, and cultural venues across France.
